It also demonstrates excellent low-temperature impact toughness. ASME A193 B7/B7M stud bolts are renowned for their exceptional heat resistance and compressive strength. Even in prolonged high-temperature and high-pressure extreme environments, B7 studs maintain outstanding stability.

Common finishes for ASTM A193 B7 studs include blackening and Teflon coating.Blackening is a chemical surface treatment process that forms an oxide layer on the metal surface, creating a barrier to air and providing rust prevention. While blackening is cost-effective, its corrosion resistance is relatively poor.Teflon coating, on the other hand, uses fluoropolymer coatings based on polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). Although Teflon surface treatment is more expensive, it offers superior corrosion resistance.
