Foundation Bolts are generally made of Q235B carbon steel for size range from M10 to M36.For size larger and thicker foundation bolts which have more high strength requirement, Q345B (16 manganese) carbon steel will be needed.For some special environments such as chemical and industrial facilities, material’s corrosion resistance are essential. Stainless steel foundation bolts are chosen for applications where longevity, minimal maintenance, and resistance to harsh environmental conditions are crucial.

Anchor Foundation Bolts comes in various types, each designed for specific applications and conditions. The main types include:

L-Shaped Anchor Bolts: Feature an L-shape for better anchoring and resistance to pull-out forces.

J-Bolts: Shaped like the letter "J" to provide strong anchorage within concrete.

Eye Foundation Bolts: Have a circular eye at one end and are used for lifting or securing cables and ropes.

U shape foundation bolts: U-bolts are commonly used in pipe installations as fasteners to secure pipes.

Foundation bolts can be finished with various coatings to enhance their performance, durability, and resistance to environmental factors. Here are some common finishes for foundation bolts:

As finished: No additional coating. Used in environments where corrosion is not important or when the bolt will be encased in concrete.

Hot-dip Galvanizing: A thick layer of zinc coating is applied by immersing the bolt in molten zinc. Provides excellent corrosion resistance, especially in outdoor and marine environments.

Blackening: Adding a layer of oxide film on the surface of anchor bolts to isolate air and prevent subsequent rusting. This method is relatively low-cost, but it requires maintenance; otherwise, the oxide film can easily fall off, leading to rusting.

Rust prevention Cover:

Installing a layer of protective armor on the outside of the foundation bolt to prevent direct contact with external environment, in order to extending its service life. Typically use this method together with blackening finishes. The way can decrease more cost.
